As the Marketing Assistant, you will be working closely with the manager to coordinate marketing collateral/material design, promotions, vendor relations and company events. You will also be assisting at corporate events—site scouting, preparing invitations, tracking RSVPs, and corresponding with 3rd party agencies for planning entertainment, catering, photography, etc. This role requires excellent proofreading skills and attention to details. This person will also be called upon to design things on the fly and be able to turn things around quickly. Creativity and positive attitude are a must. You will have the opportunity to work with C-level and senior leadership through all levels of colleagues across all departments. This position offers extraordinary exposure to different parts of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be a proofing and editing rock star—grammar, spelling, syntax and punctuation
• Manage the internal company social media page and website, posting regular updates and news
• Research promotional merchandise, swag items, and coordinate orders for the company
• May be asked to move boxes weighing 20+ pounds during company events
• Attend member acquisition events and speak to products and services in a professional and confident, knowledgeable manner
• Design website banners and/or create website content as needed using design software
• Be the point of contact for vendors during events
• Support and help other team members when needed
• Present personal insight into additional practices that may benefit the company and its members
• Campaign data maintenance within marketing systems
• Evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data such as surveys, questionnaires and opinion polls
• Create PowerPoint decks, sales sheets, and product one-sheets for business development events
• Manage the company quarterly newsletter content and distribution
• Partner with our wealth management financial advisor to coordinate regular webinars and presentations
• Have a deep understanding of our membership base, credit union philosophy and company core values

QUALIFICATIONS:
• College graduate with a degree in Marketing, Communications, or Finance
• Must have at least 1 year of banking or financial institution-related experience
• Must have knowledge of design software such as Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator and be comfortable creating marketing collateral frequently
• Skilled in meeting deadlines and sees opportunity to improve systems and messages creating higher member satisfaction
• Must have customer service experience
• Computer knowledge/skills is an absolute must
• Experience building Excel spreadsheets, graphs, and PowerPoint presentations
• Experience in digital marketing, content creation and advertising preferred
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Must be a team-player and have a positive attitude
• Takes initiative and is proactive in problem-solving and taking ownership of a task
 

Candidates must be able to clear a drug screen and background check.
