Corporate Attorney (In-House) - Anti-SLAAP Litigation

Growing mid-size national dietary supplement wholesaler and its sister company manufacturer seek in-house legal counsel with solid ability to handle diverse matters including litigation support and special projects.

Position entails:
  • Miscellaneous minor corporate governance matters;
  • Parent company has strong interest in regulatory and legislative issues affecting dietary supplement industry; litigation reforms, particularly overturning the applicability of anti-SLAPP to malicious prosecution;
  • Legislative lobbying on behalf of company related to dietary supplement regulation;
  • Legal actions for and against company;
  • Represent the companies in various contracts and other negotiations and advise managers as needed in their negotiations;
  • Advise in general corporate and business matters as needed;
  • Supervise and coordinate with outside counsels as needed;
  • Advise in regulatory affairs as well as import and export requirements;
  • Dealings in employment matters.
 
Requirements:
  • J.D.
  • Excellent academic credentials and licensed to practice in California.
  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-oriented skills.
  • Very strong courtroom skills, be an excellent arguer and must have convincing presence.
  • Oral presentation must be a strong suit as much as legal writing.
  • Mastery of state and federal Rules of Civil Procedure essential.
