IT Auditor (Internal Audits)

We are seeking an experienced IT Auditor for Public Accounting Firm based in the LA Area.  This is a full time role, ideal for a candidate seeking growth opportunities. 

Duties Performed:
  • Assist in the performance of audits
  • Perform audit process through completion and apply internal audit standards
  • Identify and communicate IT audit findings to senior management and clients
  • Create internal controls documentation including narratives, process and data flows
  • Utilize and develop audit programs and questionnaires in the performance of audits
  • Create high quality reports and work papers using appropriate business and technical language
  • Provide management with recommendations for policy, procedure and practice improvements
  • Identify internal control deficiencies, evaluate risk implications, and draw appropriate conclusions
  • Draft concise audit reports which accurately reflect facts, observations, risks and recommendations
Qualification and Skills:
Education and Training
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or a related field
  • Minor concentration in internal auditing or information systems desirable
Professional Experience
  • Prior position in Audit - internal audit or external auditing firm
  • Experience with IT Operations desirable
Skills Requirements
  • Excellent teamwork skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to track, summarize and complete simultaneous projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of internal auditing, internal controls and risk management
  • Understanding of internal control environments within the IT function
  • Ability to blend exceptional attention to detail while adhering to time and budgetary constraints
