We are currently seeking a senior or manager to join consulting services group for public accounting firm local to the El Segundo/Torrance area. 
Responsibilities
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
  • Manage engagements for multiple clients
  • Manage and train internal staff working on your engagement and accounting personnel at client offices
  • Assistance with financial statement analysis and clean-up for the purposes of presenting GAAP financial statements for including:
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Analysis of accounts receivable and allowance for doubtful accounts
  • Analysis and capitalization and amortization of prepaid expenses
  • Inventory costing and valuation analysis
  • Analysis and accrual of expenses
  • Reconciliation of debt and accrued interest
  • Analysis of profit and loss statement including
  • Consideration of revenue and expense recognition principles * Reconciliation of other balance sheet accounts based on the client’s business * Evaluate, recognize, and provide recommendations for improvements to systems and processes within an accounting function to ensure proper internal controls
  • Assistance with preparation of financial projections and forecasts including analysis of budget to actual results on an on-going basis
  • Assistance with evaluation and analysis of debt financing and other capital-raising alternatives
  • Assistance with buy and sell side diligence
  • Assist with preparation, compilation, or review engagements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA or working toward certification
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience working in a public accounting firm or experience as a full-charge bookkeeper, assistant controller, or controller within an accounting department in industry
  • Manufacturing and Distribution experience required
  • Advanced experience with QuickBooks required
  • Experience with other ERP systems like NetSuite is a plus
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookup and pivot tables
